DE REPUBLICA ECCLESIASTICA LIBRI X (On Ecclesiastical State in 10 Volumes) is the most important Marko Antonio de Dominis’ work. Its original was written in Latin language in 10 volumes. The eighth and tenth volumes were never printed. Their manuscripts had probably been lost. The preserved eight volumes contain 7,000 cards. So far the work was only printed in Latin language in three volumes and two editions in early 17th century. Only an inconsiderable number of copies were preserved out of these editions. The work was printed in 6 volumes, first in original Latin language, and then in Croatian and English.As the first four volumes were bound together in previous editions, we kept the same form because of the index. Namely, the first and the second volumes with the books I and II i.e. III and IV, make a unity, just as it used to be in previous editions.
